Honeymoons and Anniversaries

Honeymoons seem to go with castles and we think we've become quite good at arranging these very special holidays.

We know that you don't want to be rushed and that you want to spend your days in places that are a little bit different..and memorable. And your nights in places you'll remember all your life..

We think that your honeymoon itinerary should include a Scottish castle with a king size four poster bed and exclusive access to the castle battlements; from here you can see for miles over lochs and moorland from the east coast to the hills of the west. Yes, we can arrange it.

Or, spend a night in the oldest inhabited house in Scotland! Mary Queen of Scots stayed here and there is a built in secret stairway to provide an escape for priests holding 'illegal' masses in the dark days of the late 17th century, but it is a friendly house with relatively few creaks. No ghosts.

What's that? You want to sleep in a haunted castle. Well certainly, we can arrange that too!
But away from castles, why not have a few days in the Hebrides, strolling for hours on long white beaches - one of which also doubles as the island's airstrip? You will not forget the ever changing light on the hills and on the water, nor the sky on the west coast of Scotland as the sun sinks slowly on those long summer nights. The Isle of Skye is perhaps the most romantic and nowadays - following the Skye bridge - certainly the most accessible of the islands. Skye has a wealth of small hotels and harbour-side inns with outstanding cuisine.
Finally why not have a night in a light house, surrounded by rocks and waves. Or by complete contrast a luxuriously appointed boat house - you have only the swans for company!
