• How do we get in to our hotel from the airport?
  Taxis to the centre of town cost about GBP 25 from Glasgow Airport and GBP 20 from Edinburgh. There are also buses to the centre of each city.

 

• Can we fly direct to Scotland?

        The following airlines fly direct to Scottish airports.

• Where should we fly to?
  It makes little difference for most itineraries. Glasgow and Edinburgh both have transatlantic flights. Some people find it convenient to come in via Dublin (Ireland) or Schipol (Holland). If you come via London, do not be tempted to drive up to Scotland - flying is both cheap and easy.

• Can we go by train?
  In general life is easier with a car as you know exactly how you are going to get to all the places that you want to visit. Driving on the left is not really so hard and we send all our clients some helpful hints in advance! However increasing numbers of people are asking about the 'green option' of going by train and local bus and we are delighted to arrange this for you. We will agree the schedule with you and then ask you to use the link below to book your trains.
